Modern Slavery Policy
Anti-Slavery and
Human Trafficking Statement
Introduction
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by Evology during the financial year to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.
Evology recognises that modern slavery is a serious violation of fundamental human rights. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to mitigate the risk of modern slavery.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Evology is a UK-based advisory & professional services firm providing specialist services in Merger & Acquisitions, Corporate Carve-outs, Business and Digital Transformation.
Our supply chain primarily consists of:
- Professional services providers
- Independent contractors and associates
- Technology and software vendors
Given the nature of our services, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be relatively low. However, we recognise that risks may exist within supply chains and therefore take a proportionate and risk-based approach to managing these.
Our Policies
We maintain a range of internal policies designed to ensure ethical conduct and compliance with applicable laws, including:
- Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
- Whistleblowing Policy
- Grievance Policy
- Recruitment and Right to Work Procedures
These policies are communicated to all employees through onboarding and are accessible via the Employee Handbook.
Due Diligence and Risk Management
We seek to work with reputable suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical business practices.
Our approach includes:
- Conducting appropriate due diligence when engaging new suppliers and associates
- Verifying right to work and employment status for all employees
- Maintaining oversight of supplier relationships
- Taking a risk-based approach to supplier selection, particularly where services may involve higher exposure
Where appropriate, we expect suppliers to comply with all applicable laws relating to modern slavery and human trafficking.
Actions Taken During the Last 12 Months
During this period, we have:
- Conducted an annual review of our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy to ensure it remains fit for purpose
- Continued to enforce robust recruitment procedures, including right to work checks and transparent communication of employment terms
- Maintained internal policies supporting ethical conduct and reporting of concerns
Training and Awareness
We are committed to ensuring that our employees understand the risks of modern slavery and how to identify and report concerns.
Employees are informed of:
- The standards expected of them under our policies
- How to raise concerns through management or via our whistleblowing procedures
- The importance of vigilance in identifying potential risks within our operations and supply chain
Reporting Concerns
Employees are encouraged to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking without fear of retaliation.
Concerns can be raised with a line manager, the HR function, or through the whistleblowing process. All concerns are taken seriously and will be investigated promptly and appropriately.
Effectiveness and Ongoing Monitoring
We assess the effectiveness of our approach through:
- Regular review of internal policies
- Monitoring of any reported concerns or incidents
- Ongoing evaluation of our supplier relationships
To date, no incidents of modern slavery have been identified within our business or supply chain.
Future Commitments
Over the next 12 months, we will continue to strengthen our approach by:
- Increasing internal awareness through targeted communications
- Enhancing our supplier due diligence processes where appropriate
- Reviewing opportunities to formalise modern slavery considerations within supplier engagement and contracting
